About Jacksonville
Jacksonville is located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the northeastern part of the state of Florida. It's the largest city in the U.S. by land area with a population of approximately 1.5 million.
Jacksonville has a beautiful downtown divided by the St. John's River which flows into the ocean. The downtown area is lined with skyscrapers, bridges, river walks, and palm trees.
No matter where you are in the city, you are only minutes away from the beaches.
Because Jacksonville is located in the northeast part of Florida, it has a temperate climate and a very subtle change of seasons not found in other cities in the state. Year-round, there are plenty of sunshine and blue skies.
Jacksonville is located approximately two hours north of Orlando, three hours northeast of Tampa and five hours north of Miami.
