" A task can be performed well, but at the same time can be done even better if necessary knowledge and training is provided. We believe that it is important to first teach and then send missionaries to the corners of the world. This investment in education is worth the end result of a better quality outcome and more efficient work on the missions field. With this goal in mind, the practical missionary preparation course was created. Now, everyone is given the opportunity to learn practical methods of missionary work and utilize this course to accomplish set goals.
Course dates
This is a convenient, 3 day intensive learning and training experience. Classes will be held in April of 2011 (Date to be determined)

This Course will provide:

The course also offers visuals and demonstrations of several children's games, puppet shows, and skits for non-believers. In addition, advice on how to use a video projector will be provided.
Materials
In addition, every participant, or representative of a church, will receive a missionary package. This includes a collection of DVDs and audio CDs in a case and a missionary binder. These materials are tools that allow missionaries to have an organized supply of already prepared programs for various occasions and age groups.
The DVD and CD collection includes: evangelical songs and soundtracks; children's songs and soundtracks; words to all of the songs; puppet shows for children, skits and plays, Christian cartoons; large variety of Christian films; Talk shows with host A. Shevchenko; video clips depicting the harm of smoking, alcohol, and drugs; informative clips against abortion, about STDs, AIDS, etc. In addition, materials will be provided in electronic format.
The missionary binder includes: children's program (object lessons, indoor and outdoor games); charts with information for preachers; material for work with cults and other religions; material for water baptism preparation; poems, list of inventory and necessary medication; samples of invitations, posters, and much more. This course has been designed for missionary work in countries of the former Soviet Union
Cost
The full cost of the course is $165 per person. This includes: classroom instruction, package of materials and meals twice-a-day. The payment must be included with the application in the form of a check or money order made payable to SMBS or pay with a credit card by filling out the "credit card authorization" portion of the application. If you do not have the opportunity to attend the course and receive training, you can order the package of materials for yourself and your missionary group, by calling (888)308-7627.
Meals
Throughout the course, students will receive breakfast and lunch daily. Dinners are the students' own responsibility.
Living and transportation
Each student is responsible for arranging his/her own living arrangement and transportation. Students have the option of staying in a nearby hotel or contacting friends in Jacksonville.
