TBS WEEK 2-3 These last two weeks of TBS have been full of revelation and breakthrough in the teens’ lives. We have had three teachers spend time teaching the students on a variety of topics. Daniel Mironchenko and Matthew McCluskey leading the students into a deeper look at the father's heart and how to hear the voice of God. The following week Meesh Fomenko taught students on their identity in Christ and covered issues that Christian youth face in today’s society. During activities students got a chance to build new friendships on their trips to Six Flags, the beach, or Busch Gardens. They also participated in other activities during the week such as evangelizing and sharing their testimonies. They learned first hand how to share the gospel and were able to put what they learned into practice during their assigned evangelism evenings. During testimony time the teens shared what they have been going through during TBS and how God has shaped them not only through the prayers but also by the friends that inspired them to keep going deeper into their relationship with God. Many of them were encouraged to share their story and see that through their revelations, others can receive breakthrough. And last but not least, this past 4th of July weekend, we all gathered at the camp iceberg location for sports activities, swimming, and fellowship followed by an evening spent watching the firework show put on by SMBS admin! As we enter into the last week of this TBS year, teens are preparing themselves to go back home and continue further in their walk with Christ that many of them began here. It will be bittersweet to say goodbye but we know the best is yet to come.
Week one of TBS came and went in a blur as 104 teen students arrived from all over the United States and got settled into their homes for the next month. In just one week many of these teens have already built God centered friendships that will last for a lifetime and encountered God in a new way through the classes they attend every day as well as the life changing prayers they get to take part in. The first teacher of this TBS year was Andrey Sakhno who taught simple yet profound lessons where students got a closer look into the foundations of a faith that lasts a lifetime. With engaging lessons and personal testimonies, he was able to bring them into a deeper understanding of the importance of discipline in their christian lives and the impact it has on their walk with Christ. Throughout this week students also got a chance to expand their comfort zones and even discover hidden talents in the various activities organized for them such as arts and crafts, cooking, driving, drama club and media classes! To finish off this eventful week, they got to visit The Holy Land experience down in Orlando, FL where they walked through the exhibits presenting biblical history and experience the story of Jesus come alive to them through play performances. Everyday brings new memories and we are looking forward to the next couple of weeks knowing that God is on the move in this place and these teens will leave transformed.

Many may think, “What can one month possibly do compared to years of my life?” Well, I assure you, this one month has changed many lives forever. The students that come to Teens Bible School are at an age where many of them are still discovering themselves; they have many unanswered questions, while some are looking for guidance and direction, and still others may think they found their path- but it’s not necessarily the right one.
On June 7, 2014 we celebrated our 10-year anniversary. These ten years were filled with great moments. We faced adversity and struggles but at the same time, we witnessed miracles and God’s helping hand. Most importantly, it was our immense joy to see the lives of young people change as they discovered their calling and deepened their relationship with God.
